Welcome to St Andrew's Church

Welcome to St Andrew's Church, Marks Tey, a vibrant and welcoming church whose mission is focused on supporting and developing our local community, in faith. We are passionate in becoming a place where all generations come together to worship, pray and grow in faith.

In our regular service, at 11am on Sunday mornings, you can join us singing in worship, listen to engaging readings and develop your faith through guided teaching. Everyone is welcome.

welcome board

With a rich and fascinating history dating back centuries, our church has been a place of worship, fellowship, and service to all.

Whether you are a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, we welcome you to connect with our warm and friendly congregation, find a place of peace and spiritual growth, sharing our journey through faith.

We have been in vacancy since October 2024 when our Priest-in-Charge retire. Services have continued thanks to generous help from retired local priests. Our advertisments to find a suitable new Rector have so far been unsuccessful. Enquiries for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals may be made to the Churchwarden. Please see contacts.

The vacancy has seen plenty going on the restoration work on the church tower, hard hat tours of the work, blessing of the tower and spire by Bishop Roger in July 1925,  numerous events linked to the grant work a heritage exhibition/collection event, a living history evening, Medieval Christmas for a class of St Andrew's Primary School, and a celebration event. The heritage project has resulted in the creation of an amazing website www.marksteyheritage.org

2025 also saw the redecoration of the church hall. At present plans for changes to the church porch for structural and energy reasons are awaiting consideration from the DAC.

We are always grateful for donations to help our ministry and mission.
